Following the outstanding success of the alto sax/clarinet ligature, Yanagisawa has released a new ligature for hard rubber soprano sax mouthpiece, which is sure to take the soprano world by storm. Comes with matching white plastic cap.
Possibly one of the finest saxophone/clarinet accessories we've ever seen, the Yanagisawa "Yany Sixs" ligature offers an innovative new take on ligature design. The ligature is suspended above 4 hard rubber spacers around the body of the mouthpiece, and the reed is held in place by 4 evenly spaced pressure points, ensuring free vibration and maximum response from the reed.
Visually this ligature is very appealing, with its 24K gold plated exterior and beautifully designed single screw mechanism, however the playability is where it really shines. Effortlessly responsive, with fluid response across even the most challenging interval leaps, this ligatures offers a very high degree of playing comfort. Sonically it delivers plenty of clarity and focus, with slightly more brightness and "edge" than a leather ligature.
If you've always been a ligature sceptic, or if you're still using a basic metal ligature or a worn-out old leather one, you have to come in to one of our stores to arrange a test play, we're sure you will be pleasantly surprised! Now available at Ozwinds Moorabbin - contact other stores to confirm availability and to arrange a test play.
