The baritone is not only the low voice of the quartet, but it also represents the harmonic support and tuning reference of each group. The Selmer Super Action 80 Series II baritone meets this requirement by offering excellent homogeneity of sound over the whole range, without break between the low and high registers. Precise and easy blowing improves ease of playing, including in the higher register, which is always more delicate. It develops a particularly warm, softer tone, thus refining the features specific to this instrument. Elaborate keywork enables attaining the same level of virtuosity as on other instruments and ensures a good grip.
