Design & acoustic precision

Henri Selmer (Paris) began designing and manufacturing clarinet mouthpieces in 1885. After an intense Research and Development effort, Selmer has developed two new model of clarinet mouthpiece to suit the aesthetic of today's clarinettists. 

The new throat design gives a more focused air flow, which allows greater density of sound an expansion of the array of timbres. 

The 'Concept' model favours a larger tip opening, which in turn provides a greater breadth of sound and more projection overall.
