The F major Divertimento KV 247, written for the name day of Countess Antonia Lodron, first appeared on 18 June 1776 in Salzburg. The little march KV 248 accompanied at that time presumably the rise or fall of the musicians, because he divides dating, occupation and key with the Divertimento. Later, Mozart was to return several times to his "First Lodronic Night Music" and posterity was also apt for her: the Divertimento appeared in print a few years after his death and was also widely used in numerous copies in the 19th century. However, only the two autographs may be used as an authorized source for a urtext edition. By the way, the deepest voice is called "Basso", which leaves it open whether a cello, a double bass or both should be played here - a typical case of "As you like it" in the music of the 18th century.
