Légère is pleased to introduce Signature Series technology for the Alto Saxophone.  These reeds follow the spectacular success of the Signature Series clarinet reeds, which have been hailed as a breakthrough in synthetic reeds. 

This reed is medium-bright yet focused which is why it’s used worldwide by advanced and professional players in both jazz and classical settings.

Légère reeds are available for virtually all saxophones and have a beautiful tone and range, together with all the normal advantages of a synthetic reed.    The original cuts are designed for a darker sound and generally used for a classical set-up.

 Some characteristics of the materials:

    It doesn’t have to be preconditioned before playing.
    It does not absorb water.
    It is completely non-toxic.
    It can be sanitized.
    It is extremely tough and it will last a long, long, time.

Of course, the best thing about the materials is its sound.  Even with all of the advantages of a synthetic, you wouldn't spot their reeds on the stage at the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra if the sound wasn't wonderful.

Some people imagine that these reeds are stamped or moulded out of cheap plastic in a few seconds.   This could not be farther from the truth.
