Shallow cup, in the style of an American-designed cornet mouthpiece. Brilliant sound, but with the cornet’s traditionally sweet sound.

DW5881-3
Deep cup. Used by soloists with very strong embouchures – very rich, mellow tone. Helps create the traditional British cornet sound.

DW5881-3B
Medium cup. Like 2B but more brilliant. Very flexible. Ideal soloist’s choice.

DW5881-3C
Shallow cup, in the style of an American-designed cornet mouthpiece. Brilliant sound, but with the cornet’s traditionally sweet sound. The cup is derived from a French trumpet mouthpiece with a v-shaped cup. Works beautifully in the cornet.

Deep cup. The perfect cornet mouthpiece. Rich and powerful tone. Very popular in Salvation Army bands, as it gives a lovely blending sound. This is mouthpiece used by solo cornet Tom Hutchinson of the world-beating Cory Band, helping them win many European and National titles.

Deep cup. Like a 4 but more responsive and easier high notes as the bore is smaller. A popular choice.
