Excellent alternative to common mouthpieces offering that classic american jazz sound. Have been playing the A7S+ (7 facing small chamber plus) model for quite some time. The medium chamber was a little warmer and broader, but I really enjoyed the focus and projection of the smaller chamber. This mouthpiece covers me for all genres that I play, from swing to pop. In a big band it would definitely do great as a lead alto.
